The Scrooge Experience

Grove Theatre, Newnan
The Scrooge Experience is a unique outdoor show that will be presented in the pecan grove on the Heritage School campus. This production, specific to this setting, will have the audience follow the actors to two different sets
Elf the Musical
Dec. 7 – 16
Byers Theater, Sandy Springs
Based on the beloved holiday movie, Elf, this musical follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his identity. As a young lad, Buddy was accidently transported to the North Pole. After he grew much larger than the other elves and his toy-making abilities left much to be desired, Santa gave him permission to go to New York and find his identity. Faced with a dad on the naughty list and a half-brother who doesn’t believe in Santa, Buddy wins over his new family and helps them and the city remember the true meaning of Christmas.
ChildrenConnect Annual Christmas Party
Dec. 8
ChildrenConnect, Newnan
Visit with Santa at Newnan’s interactive children’s museum. Make an ornament that will surely become a Christmas keepsake and ride “Champion the Wonder Pony.” Surprise gift from Santa for each child and refreshments.
Christmas at Jonesboro

First Baptist, Jonesboro
An exciting holiday extravaganza, Christmas at Jonesboro features more than 300 singers – adults and children – accompanied by a full orchestra. Each performance includes a spectacular light show, dance ensemble and your favorite Christmas carols by candlelight.
City of Newnan’s Christmas Parade
Dec. 8
Downtown Newnan
This year’s parade theme is “A Parade of Christmas Trees” enjoy floats, walking groups, decorated cars and trucks. Floats are expected to incorporate the theme and parade attendees can vote on their favorite floats in several categories including “The People’s Choice Award.”
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Dec. 13 – 16 and Dec. 20 – 22
Newnan Theatre Company
This production is based on the Charles Schulz television special written by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson. The stage adaption is by Eric Scheffer. Charlie Brown complains about the materialism and commercialization of Christmas in this heartwarming story. A forlorn Christmas tree brings the meaning of Christmas home for the Peanuts gang.
The Nutcracker
Dec. 14 and 15
Wadsworth Auditorium, Newnan
The Southern Arc Dance Theatre will perform this timeless classic. Presented by the Newnan Cultural Arts Commission, this delightful ballet traces Clara’s dream through the land of sweets.
Christmas in the Park
Dec. 15
Milton Daniel City Park, Morrow
Celebrate Christmas in the park with free food, games, pictures with Santa and the lighting of the gigantic Christmas tree.
The Sounds of Christmastime

Studio Theatre, Sandy Springs
The award winning a cappella vocal ensembles Song of Atlanta and Atlanta Vocal Project harmonize you right into the Christmas spirit with this holiday performance.
Warm Up: A VoicePlay Holiday

Nixon Centre for the Arts
VoicePlay will rock the house with a harmonious explosion of holiday sounds. This is an engaging theatrical experience that recreates the sound of an orchestra using only human voices. Alternating between eras and styles, it showcases amazing vocal feats as well as theatrical endeavors. Help us celebrate the holidays with all of your Christmas favorites including “Holiday Road,” “Christmas Don’t be Late” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”
Christmas Bells are Swingin’
Boston Brass & Brass All-Stars Big Band

Light up your holiday season with the brassy sounds of perennial favorite, Boston Brass. Teamed up with all star brass players from around the world this spectacular production brings new fire to standard Christmas carols. The ensemble features trumpets, French horns, trombones and tubas. You can’t beat big band arrangements of classic Stan Kenton Christmas Carols, Greensleeves and the lush Motown sounds of Jingle Bells.
