There are many different places and ways a person can purchase hearing aids, but we believe it is a PROCESS and that the process must be followed for every patient to ensure that they are hearing the best that they can with their hearing aids.
Dr. Nikki and her staff have followed these procedures for years resulting in thousands of successful and happy hearing aid users in the Peachtree City, Newnan, and surrounding areas. However, now we are part of “The Dr. Cliff network” because we want to spread the word and encourage proper education of those with hearing loss and their family members. We encourage you to watch the Dr. Cliff YouTube videos to understand the process that we are referring to.
When fitting hearing aids, your provider should not simply rely on a test where you listened to beeps with headphones in a sound booth. Your provider should also not ASSUME that the hearing aid software will create the best prescription for every patient. The fit of the hearing aid in your ear and the size, shape and curvature of your ear can all change the acoustics of sound (just like cupping your hands around your mouth), which can therefore skew your prescription. The only way to ensure prescription accuracy is if the fitting of your hearing aids includes Real Ear Measurements.
At Coweta Hearing & Balance Clinic and Fayette Hearing Clinic
We also will re-perform real ear measurements on an annual basis or whenever you are having a problem. This ensures that your prescription is always accurate because you, the hearing aid user, cannot know when your hearing ability gradually gets away from that prescription.
